It’s that time of year again…Christmas time! We love Christmas, and to give you a hand getting your shopping done we’ve compiled a little guide of our favourite gifts instore (click image for closer look).
Avoid the masses and shop local this Christmas! We’ll take the stress out of your Christmas shopping with free gift wrapping, great advice and an awesome selection of gifts for everyone you know.
A Nato watch strap is one of the cleverest things ever invented…made back in the day so that wartime fellows could replace a broken watch strap without tools, these durable fabric straps are usually available in plain simple colours and military stripes.
That is, until now of course. Let me introduce you to HYPERGRAND.
Hypergrand is a new brand of unisex watches that has combined a fantastic timepiece in several different finishes/versions (matt gold with black face is my fave, Kyle is all over the matt black with black face) with awesome printed Nato straps that you will love. All that for only $139 each.
The watches are all brilliant and come in the combinations they are shown in this post. “But I like the other strap too” I hear you say. Never fear, the straps are available on their own for $39 each…and incidentally they will fit into any standard watch, so you can jazz up an old watch too.
All watches shown here are currently available until stock lasts. Perfect Christmas gift, no? I want one!
Don’t just love when people are multi talented? The good folks over at THE HORSE certainly know a thing or two about shoes, and now they have absolutely smashed it out of the ball park with their beautiful unisex watches.
These classic watches feature an internal Japanese mechanism, simple elegant dials, and of course the pared back handcrafted aesthetic we’ve come to know and love from Sydney label The Horse.
Available in a range of metal finishes and leather bands at only $129 these classic beauties will be at the top of many Christmas lists this year. Mine included!
All watches shown are currently available instore at Alfie’s Friend Rolfe, until stock lasts.
Staple The Label Striped Dress $70
I’m of the belief there should be several staples in every woman’s wardrobe: A good black and/or white t-shirt, a great casual leather skirt, lots of classic stripes…there’s a few more of course, but for the moment let’s stick with those seeing as they’ve just arrived instore from aptly named STAPLE THE LABEL. It’s my new staple label, that’s for sure.
Staple The Label Grey Knit Top $60 and Split Skirt $80
Staple The Label Leather look Pinafore $90
I like that our selection has something for everyone…the cute on-trend pinafore is on the money, the black tunic dress is understated chic, the striped dresses suit all body shapes, and those leather-look skirts are the perfect length.
And the best part are the prices! Who knew you could look this chic for so little?
Staple The Label Sheer Tunic $80
Staple The Label Sheer Tee $50 and Leather look skirt in White $80
Staple The Label Striped Tunic Dress with Chiffon Panel $80
Staple The Label Grey Knit Top $60 and Leather look skirt in black $80
Sydney label STAPLE THE LABEL is new to our store, and will absolutely stick around…with looks like these, they simply have to! A new staple is born.
All looks available at Alfie’s Friend Rolfe until stock lasts.
For next season, we’ve seen so much bold black and white…stark patterns and blocking on everything from shoes to tshirts to party dresses. I say “why wait til next season?”…this is currently my favourite cardigan and I have not stopped wearing it.
(BTW that’s not ACTUALLY me wearing it…pfft I wish!)
This little beauty is going to get an absolute flogging in my wardrobe, and for just $79, it’s a total steal (low cost per wear…loves it!)
Come and get yours…but make it snappy!
This time of year it feels like we turn into a shoe shop here instore…and I will say, that is the favourite time of the season for me! Gracing the shelves of our shop at the moment are the new Winter offerings from Melbourne brand ZOLA.
Over the years we’ve had Zola in our store, the brand has gained quite a lot of devotees, in no small part due to unbelieavable comfort they provide (yes, even the heels). The great styles and the excellent prices definitely help too…but that comfort…man, you have to try them.
Come and check the new Zola range out, and try them on for yourself! All styles shown above are currently available at Alfie’s Friend Rolfe.

People often ask “So…what’s in fashion this coming season?”. Sometimes the answer is long winded and confusing. This time the answer is tres simple…patterns. Like, LOTS of patterns. Top and bottom. Even your shoes, bag and belt can be patterned if you like.
With the 90′s making a comeback in the fashion world (true story if you haven’t heard), its time to get your ecclectic head-to-toe prints happening. The 90′s version of me was not afraid to team plaid with statement florals (albeit, in an awkward teenage manner!) so it may be time to right the awkward wrongs of my youth and bust out some bold combinations…sans brown lipstick of course!
The current looks from SOMETHING ELSE are the perfect pieces to update your Autumn looks…check those beautiful prints! A nice selection of both subtle and bold patterns, the team at SOMETHING ELSE are old hats at designing signature prints so it makes sense they’ve nailed it.
SOMETHING ELSE Autumn 2013 currently instore at Alfie’s Friend Rolfe.
See you soon,
